As per State Government Order number 210/HME of 2012, states government employee should spend, at least, two years and maximum three years at a specific position before being transferred and the employee having more than 2or 3 years of stay at a particular place shall be transferred. Cancer turns second biggest killer in State 11/18/2017 11:05:07 PM Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: Cancer cases are increasing at an alarming rate in Jammu and Kashmir, as four to five cases of cancer are reported in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu on an average daily, but efforts to deal with the disease have been sluggish. It is pertinent to mention that over 10 lakh new cases of cancer are diagnosed every year in India. However, due to late diagnosis, over 7 lakh people die of the diseases each year. Indian Council of Medical Research (IMCR) shows that India is likely to have over 17.3 lakh new cases of cancer and over 8.8 lakh deaths due to the disease by 2020. As per data, the State has an estimated 29841, 30855, 31899 reported cases of cancer for the year 2012, 2013, and 2014 respectively and similarly, the estimated number of cancer patients' deaths for the year 2012, 2013 and 2014 are 4862, 5028 and 5196 respectively.
