Violation of transfer policy, employees enjoy overstay, H&ME Deptt silent

JAMMU, Dec 10: In gross violation of transfer policy, few employees, who have been working in Government Medical College and Hospital, Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital and Chest and Diseases Hospital for last more than 10 years, are enjoying overstay for last more than 10 years despite their transfers.

As per State Government Order number 210/HME of 2012, states government employee should spend, at least, two years and maximum three years at a specific position before being transferred and the employee having more than 2or 3 years of stay at a particular place shall be transferred.
Official sources divulged that the transfer policy is being violated by the employees, even administration of the government hospitals to appease their blue eyed persons. "A senior assistant, presently working in immune-haematology and blood transfusion medicine, GMC, has been transferred twice by the incumbent Principal as well as previous Principal of GMC Jammu but being a influential, he is still working in the same department for last more than 10 years," officials sources added.
Similarly, a store keeper in SMGS hospital has been holding the same post for last 10 years and every time, he got sucessful to remove his name from transfers list thanks to callous and non-serious approach of the concerned authority - who give damn to Health and Medical Education Department's transfer policy, sources claimed.
Source further added, likewise, a another employee- working in the Chest and Diseases hospital Jammu-is also violating the transfer policy by reaming same post for last many years but concerned administration didn't dare to transfer him.
"In the some cases especially for those, who have links in power corridors, have been overstaying in various posts in the hospitals for last many years," sources alleged, adding the concerned management as well as higher officials in the H&ME department is sleeping on the violation of transfer policy.
When contacted MOS Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash said that officials remain overstay in two cases, one is that employees is specialized to deal particular work and others take undue favour. "I will ask to concern provide the details of those employees who are overstaying and then suitable action will be taken after verifying it," MOS assured.
Officiating Principal of GMC&H Jammu, Dr KK Koul said, "We will verify the matter and suitable action would be taken," he added. He also said that the administration was already looking into matter.

Chopra murder case Ex-MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir arrested by police

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, June 9: In a major step to solve the brutal murder mystery of Chopra family, Special Investigation Team (SIT) today arrested Ex-MLC Trilochan Singh Wazir following the statement of Surinder Singh alias Kala, a transporter before the Judicial Magistrate.
