TNI tracks bovine smuggler Police sleeping, bovine smuggler running scot free

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, May 20: While bovine smuggling has emerged as a bigger threat in recent past but it seems that administration is sleeping over the issue. While at times people are themselves taking the law into their own hands, which shows the inability of the police to rein in on the smugglers. None of the areas have remained unaffected by this menace and mostly cattle from rural areas are picked up by the mafia and sent to the Kashmir valley, where their demand remains high. Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, May 19: The menace of bovine smuggling is growing in the state, but it seems the police department is in deep slumber to deal with this illegal practices. In one such case two days ago, Bari Brahmana police recovered 13 bovine animals but smugglers fled from the spot, putting question mark on the efficiency of the administration. Sources said that, the smugglers continue smuggling bovine in the said areas, but when police officials deployed on ’Nakas’ checking the vehicles they run away from leaving their vehicles. Boy found hanged mysteriously at Bishnah

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, May 18: A Mystery shrouded the death of a youth who was found dead at his residence in Bishnah, police said on Wednesday. According to source, the 12th class boy namely Rohit Kumar son of Ravi Kumar, has hanged at his house. Sources also disclosed that his father is having watch shop in Kunjwani, recently his parents bought him a new motorbike, but due to some technical fault the bike is not working properly. When Ravi asked his parents for rupees 5000 to repairing the bike, they refused to give so. Two brothers seriously injured, fired upon by miscreants at Samba

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, May 12: The two brothers got serious injuries when they were attacked and fired up by a group of armed men in a village of Samba district. According to sources the three armed men led by Patwari, Jasbir Singh of Vijaypur had a month long rivalry with Ravi Kumar son of Krishan Chand, a STD owner, in village Chak Mange Rakwal of district Samba and wounded him critically. Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, May 7: The Motor Vehicle Department is on move since four days to stop the black-tinting of car films and other such violations of traffic norms but all seems to be in vain as the black tinting goes unabated. Caring too hoots for the established rules, the violators also seem to be indifferent towards the fact that the state was grappling with menace of cross-border terrorism. As per the rule book, use of dark, black or reflective glasses in vehicles is not permitted. LeT militants gunned down after fierce encounter in Kishtwar

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, April 21: Two hardcore militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in a fierce gunbattle with security forces in Kishtwar district Thursday morning. According to official sources, acting on aspecific information about the presence of militants, a joint operation party of Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF and police launched a cordon and search operation in Keshwan forest belt in the district early this morning. Govt. says, ration increased, but people on ground not getting anything

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, Mar 16: The state government recently claimed that it has increased the ration to the people living Below the Poverty Line (BPL) upto 40 kg and Antodya Ann Yojna (AAY) families, but the ground situation is quite different. But claims seems hallow as most of the areas does not have proper supply of ration as on the ground level the 35 kg full ration is not reaching to needy and poor people. This came to highlighted today when an elderly man Mohammad Iqbal visited Government Medical College (GMC) for treatment, but was denied check up by the doctors on duty.
