JAMMU, Mar 14: State government claimed to provide every better facility to the farmers of the state and too at their door step, but these claims seem opposite direction while looking at the ground situation. One such glaring example of the apathy of irrigation department of the state government is incomplete work of water motors in Kothe Sania of tehsil Bishnah. According to official source six years ago the MLA Bishna Ashwani Sharma has inaugurated about eight motors for proper supply of water in the said area for irrigation purpose, but till date the work is incomplete due to one reason or other. He further said that the state government has spent crores of rupees on the motors and getting funds from the centre on these types of work. Locals said that for the proper irrigation we required water but motors not working. Due to this they are facing a lot of problems. As much of the time has gone in waste but the concerned authorities is doing nothing to start the motors and to supply the water. When contacted MLA Ashwani Sharma said that all the work from installation of the motors has been done by the department side. But the only delay is that the department is identified the location to store the water for irrigation. He further said that it takes hardly one more month to start fully the motors for water supply to the farmers. |
