BOSE exposed ETT exams: total chaos witnessed in examination centres

Nitesh Sangral
JAMMU, April 20: There was total mess in almost all the examination centres were the first year Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) exams were conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE).
Mismanagement can be gauged by the fact that at many of the centres there were no superintends nor was there any official from the board to supervise and keep check on the cheating cases.

Sources said that keeping in view the interests of the illegally running colleges in the state who are greasing the palms of the board officials, officials had turned blind eye so that they could carry out their illegal business.

More than 400 Examination centers established across the Jammu and Kashmir by the BOSE. “It was total hotchpotch process and chaos everywhere and the sufferers were the genuine andidates who appeared for the examination”, said a student.

It is pertinent to mention here that the few days ago private colleges and Board officials had major differences and had almost clashed with each other when the board had postponed the earlier issued examination date. It was to be conducted from April 15, but later changed to April
20.
Sources said that today the officials were totally exposed and it has become now clear that they are supporting a particular lobby.
Sources said that near about 500 hundred students, could not take part in the exams as they were unable to reach the state keeping in view the confusion created by the BOSE.

“The seriousness could be gauged from the fact that board issued roll no slips just yesterday which is against rules and totally unjustified”, said a student Komal Sharma.

Vinay Kumar Tiwari student of 1st year ETT said that the colleges’ teachers as well as board team not properly guide to the students for today examinations. He also said that some students also not have roll number cards and that student not attended the examination.

Sources said that to keep happy a particular lobby of the ETT colleges has convinced BOSE and Minister incharge to postpone the exams so that few colleges which had received NOC in just few months ago can all their students to clear the exams.
