Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, Nov 25: Near four months have been passed to begin the fixing of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on vehicles in the Jammu and Kashmir State, but the transport departments has so far fixed only 41,000 HSRP on different kind of vehicles. The departments have no proposal to fix Plates on fast track. It is pertinent to mention here that the Jammu and Srinagar cities have begun fixing High Security Registration Number Plates (HSRP) on vehicles in line with an apex court order. The project is taking moreover time to complete the fixing work of number plates. Source said that the state is close to a million to registered vehicles, according to transporter department.  “As many as 9,82,190 vehicles of different kinds, including goods and passenger heavy motor vehicles (HMV) and light motor vehicles LMV, are registered with the transport department  . Winter arrives heating systems go out of order in hospitals Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, Nov 23: The health institutions of the state always remain in discussion for one or another reason. With the onset of winter, the heating systems installed in the hospitals have started hogging limelight. As per people, the heating systems are non_functional. It is pertinent to mention here that the state health department installed heating system in all the health institutions falling under the cold zone area of the state. This facility was especially added in labour rooms. Hospital source said that two years have passed since the installation of heating systems. But now these LPG cylinder fitted heaters have become defunct due to the lack coordination of concerned authorities. “Some of the hospitals in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch besides; Doda, Bhaderwah, and Kishtwar have heating system but are non-functional,” he added. Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, Nov 21: The Jammu Police is totally blind when it comes to use of Close Circuit Televisions (CCTV) cameras for record crime related activities, as most of the CCTV cameras are not functioning, but it wants to install 100 more. Amazingly, the demand has raised eyebrows as the old one are not being repaired which were installed at the cost of more than Rs 50 lakh about four years back. Similarly, the traffic police department also sent proposal of 82 Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) cameras install in the city for streamline traffic and deal with the traffic violators here. Of these, 34 CCTV cameras have already been installed in the city and work is going on fast track to install the rest of the cameras. Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir government has spent of corers of rupees on these CCTV cameras and installed most of crowed place across Jammu. Nitesh Sangral Jammu, November 9: Inaction of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to lift garbage from various parts of the city is creating major health hazard for the residents. Its not only the solid waste, but the foul smell creating unpleasant experience for commuters who pass through various localities. Many of the people alleged that shopkeepers are major contributors of the garbage as some of them lack civic sense and dump their solid waste on roadsides. However many local residents claimed that dump has created many health problems for the residents. "We daily have to inhale the foul smell which has affected our health.
