Nitesh Sangral 2/21/2011 9:25:28 PM JAMMU, Feb 21: Despite repeated warnings to the telecom companies and given the directions by the Union Home Ministry to revivified the customer’s documents so that anti- national elements could not misuse of pre- paid SIM cards, telecom companies are still not following the norms. It is pertinent to mention here that in January, 2010, the government had lifted a ban on the use of pre-paid mobile connections in Jammu and Kashmir for one year and had notified strict criteria for re-verification of subscriber’s documents. In the fresh guidelines, it was stated that though no customer shall be given more than one pre-paid or post-paid connection, if an individual needs to second connections, he will have to give reasons. It should be on the top priority of the government’s agenda particularly the state governments. The situation of school education in Jammu region is not up to the mark in many aspects. Many of the areas in R.S Pura, Bishnah and Arnia area besides other parts of Samba, Kathua, Akhnoor, are worst affected by the menace. Though police claims to have taken number of steps to stop the menace, but sources said that in some cases, some officials within the administration are themselves involved in the illicit trade. The E-Mail fraudsters who are targeting people claiming that they have won jackpot. Number of people have fallen to these cheats who send e-mail to the people announcing that they have won lottery or someone is sharing his share of property with the people. People are asked to submit money to receive the jackpot and one the money is transferred to the accounts created by the fraudsters, they vanish leaving the weeping people. Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, Feb 9: Jammu will finally have multi-storey parking buildings as the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has completed the survey of the spots were they are proposed to be built. Though they are behind schedule, but after the direction of the government JDA and JMC had conducted a joint survey in the city. Sources said work will start in May this year. These multi storied parking buildings would be established at bus stand, super Bazzar, Doctors lane and Kachi Chawni. It is pertinent to mention here that city is facing huge problem of parking, as with addition of thousands of vehicles in past 20 years.
