On day 1, BJP ministers skip Civil Secretariat, remain busy in HP elections

JAMMU, Nov 6: On the opening ceremony of civil secretariat in Jammu after durbar move shifted to winter capital, the BJP leadership took everyone to surprise when not more than three ministers appeared in the secretariat, while rest of them remained reportedly busy in campaigning for party in Himachal Pradesh elections.

According to reports, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, Minister of Sheep and Animal Husbandry-Abdul Gani Kohli and MoS-Priya Sethi were present on the opening ceremony, while as rest of the party leadership skipped the ceremony.
 "After six months, the durbar has opened in Jammu and people of the Jammu were hoped that the BJP Ministers would be present on the occasion but unfortunately, the BJP leadership was taken granted to Jammu province in every filed, "a visitor told and adding that it seems for BJP party campaign is more important from attending the Civil Secretariat on first day of opening.
He added that it was really shocking to see that numbers of BJP leaders who are out of the State on a political expansion mission. He also said the Jammu is in the midst of several problems or social security schemes but there is no one to look after the problem.
Party sources told Early Times that the party high command had asked to State BJP leaders and ministers to visit Himachal Pradesh and campaign for BJP party for upcoming elections. So, they all rushed to Himachal Pradesh for campaigning with the help of local leaders.
 "They were also directed to organize numbers of public meetings and visit door to door to count achievements of the Union Government since came into power," party sources stated.
