'He is misleading House on health facilities, infrastructure in Jammu'

JAMMU, Jan 12: Accusing Minister for Health and Medical Education (M&HE) Department, Bali Bhagat of misleading the House by providing wrong information, BJP MLC Ramesh Arora has threatened to quit from his post if his assertions about deteriorating condition of Health sector in Jammu were not taken a note of.
Responding to the written reply to a question raised by the MLC on number of machines and equipments including platelet making machine worth crores being not operational at Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) hospital Jammu and SMHS Srinagar and CT Scan machine lying in CD Hospital Jammu being defunct for years, Health Minister Bali Bhagat informed that the machine and equipment including platelet making machine are operational in the said hospitals.
Prove me wrong
A BJP MLC has accused the Health Minister of misleading the House about infrastructure in JK hospitals. He has threatened to quit if his allegations prove untrue.
However, the CT scan machine installed in CD hospital, Jammu is functional, Minister claimed, adding that a part of CT scan machine was not functional. The concerned firm was informed and the firm has replaced it , the Minister claimed.
MLA had asked why the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation has failed to provide many instruments viz cotton, bandages and injections of common use including others. In reply, Minister said no (the Corporation is providing everything to the hospitals).
After receiving not satisfactory replies from the Minister, the MLC sought accurate reply. The MLC demanded a survey should be conducted to find out the facts. He also asked the Chair to enquire about the existing health facilities on ground in the government hospitals in Jammu province.
Later, speaking to reporters outside the House, MLC Ramesh Arora threatened to quit from his post if the allegations leveled by him prove untrue. He claimed the CT scan machine in is non-functional as people within the hospital are hand in glove with private players and they get hefty commission from them.

He also blamed Minister for being careless towards development of health infrastructure especially in Jammu province.
