Early Times Report

jammu, Jan 2: Poster and hoarding glorifying former Congress Minister in Gandhi Nagar constituency along with photograph and name of a non- Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) holder have raised question mark over the intent behind the move.
Outsider in Congress
A non-state subject making all efforts to appease a former Congress minister has drawn flak. Party leaders and activists have asked top leadership to take a note of it or face the music.

Seeking anonymity, a senior leader of Congress informed Early Times that these days a non- state subject businessman has become an important office bearer in District Congress Jammu and has been appeasing a former Congress Minister since last many months. "Openly appeasing ex-minister by wishing Happy Diwali, New Year beside other occasions, has raised many eye brows with some serious questions over the intention of the businessman", the Congress insider said.
He also alleged that the businessman was also too close to a PDP leader who was also helping him in exchange for the favours extended to the leader during 2014 elections. "Now this PDP leader is helping him by using political contacts", he added.
He also stated that it was not first time the hording were erected along roadsides by the businessman. He had also raised a big hording with large portrait of the Congress senior leader at various crossings of Gandhi Nagar constituency. "One such hoarding was removed within days as some party leaders objected to it" he alleged.
According to government official, number of outsiders are doing business in the State because of their powerful nexus with politicians and bureaucrats. Due to lethargic approach of successive governments, non PRC as well as fake PRC holders are working over night to appease Political leaders of the State to register themselves in their good books and become permanent resident of the State with their help.
According to government data, more than 150 outsiders have succeed to get PRC of Jammu and Kashmir State without any trouble and interestingly the state government reportedly put the recommendations of cancelling PRC of outsiders into cold storage due to strong lobby of these non-local businessmen.

Nitesh Sangral JAMMU, June 27: In yet another case of how our society is heading towards moral ruin, a recent case of sexual exploitation of B.ed girl has again exposed the vulnerability of our sisters and daughters. Though the accused have been arrested by the police while he was fleeing towards Kashmir, but it raises lot of question about the moral degradation of our society, which has long tradition of ‘Guru-Shiysha’ concept. Sources said that it could be a tip of the ice berg as there are number of people who are exploiting the innocent girls. However the concern is how to stop this menace which is like a curse on our society. A college student said that at times girls face mental harassment in shape of comments, sudden touch or lewd gestures from the teachers, but it is mostly ignored. Few days back, a teacher of a private college was arrested for allegedly making an obscene MMS of a student in mountainous Kishtwar district. 'The teacher identified as Tariq Qayoo...
