Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: An unusual
act of insubordination marred the graceful atmosphere of meeting presided over
by Health Minister in which tug of ego war surfaced with administrative heads
of different wings located in Medical College Jammu entered into heated
arguments coupled with counter allegations and deviating from the established
norms of official propriety and decency.
If sources are to be
believed, MS of SSH Jammu is likely to be attached in keeping view of
complaints against him and today's episode during Minister's meeting.
Reliable sources disclosed
Early Times that primarily the venue of the meeting was fixed at Super
Speciality Hospital (SSH) Jammu where the Minister for Health and Medical Education
Department was scheduled to hold meeting as per the informed to all.
Accordingly the Principal GMC&H Jammu reached venue of the meeting where he
waited nearly one hours and the concerned Medical Superintendent of SSH Jammu
did not have the courtesy as a subordinate officer to entertain the Principal.
Sources further told that
finding himself unattended by the MS, the Principal informed about the
recalcitrant attitude of the medical superintendent to the minister who
rescheduled the venue of the meeting at the eleventh hours which was shifted to
Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital Jammu. Interestingly, the meeting was
started in SMGS hospital where Minister snubbed MS of SSH for reaching late in
the meeting. "Allegations have been leveled on Administrator of GMC&H
for covering up the matter as she was chairman of the committee to inquiry the
matter of daily wagers, "Sources said.
Sources further told that
numbers of complaints have been reached in Principal office against the MS of
SSH Jammu regarding his working as well as he failed to continue the
functioning of the hospital during strike of daily wagers and essential medical
services were snapped in the hospital for some days.
Beside, Minister has
directed to administration of GMC&H to disengage all Need Based Workers
engaged various departments in GMC&H Jammu and its associated hospital as
they engaged by Mechanical wing of PWD. Minister also directed to outsource all
550 posts are vacant in GMC&H Jammu and its associated hospitals, Sources
