Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 8: Principal of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu today reportedly humiliated Commissioner Secretary H&ME department.
Reliable sources told Early Times that the H&ME department had informed the administration of the hospital about holding meeting with Medical Council of India (MCI) team and discuss remedial steps to overcome the problems being faced by hospital.
"Astonishingly, when the officials of the H&ME department were calling Principal of GMC, he didn't attend the calls despite repeated attempts. Then they informed about the Head of Department (HoD) Medicine, but when the Secretary entered the premises of hospital, a barrier was installed by administration and he was stopped for a while, "they stated.
Sources said that the administration of the hospital did not follow 'protocol', and as soon as the Secretary reached Principal's chamber, the Principal was not available there. When the officials informed the Principal, he was busy in another room and he took 20 minutes to appear in his own office. It's not less than 'humiliating' a senior official who visited the hospital for discussing crucial issues for the improvement and welfare of the hospital.
When contacted Principal of GMC&H Jammu couldn't be contacted for his comment.
