Jammu, Apr 8: Feeling insecure by the change of guard at the ministry of Health and Medical Education, the known loyalists of the former Minister are looking for opportunities to get close to the incumbent Minister.
Reliable Sources stated Early Times that, the loyalists of the former Health Minister have come together to gain proximity to the incumbent minister lest they were targeted for being aides of his predecessor.
"Some doctors with officials of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu and its associated hospitals and some owner of private clinics, who were loyal to former Minster for Health and Medical Education and had earned huge benefits during his tenure, were a scared lot these days and desperate to enter the inner circle of the incumbent minister so as to ensure that no decision is taken to rattle their apple cart within the department, "Sources alleged.
Sources further said that, now some offices at these hospitals have been made discussion rooms where they are enjoying cup of tea and planning future strategy so they will not be faced any difficulty in future and will sit on enjoyable and choicest post in these health institutes."The lobby has been trying its best to seek blessing of the new Health Minister by backbiting and gain confidence of the Minister, "Sources stated.

Doctors' "negligence" claims 2 lives

Sent to Isolation Ward of suspected swine flu patients, they died for want of treatment 2/28/2015 Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report             Jammu, Feb 28: Due to alleged negligence on the part of health department, two patients died in the isolation wards meant for suspected swine flu cases at makeshift hospital in Col Chopra Nursing Home. One more case of GMCH doctors' alleged negligence came to the fore when the report of Dr Bhupinder Singh, a pediatrician tested negative for H1N1. He had died of respiratory problems last Thursday. The doctors had not bothered to examine him for some other disease. Similarly, a few days ago, a patient namely Raj Kumar died in the isolated ward of GMCH. He too was not affected with swine flu as per his medical report. He too failed to get the requisite treatment in the hospital.
