that the JKMSC had failed to perform to its mandate. "Ordering curtailment
in budget of the Corporation, the Minister for Health directed the higher
officials of the department that 75 percent funds would be given to the JKMSC
for buying the drugs and remaining 25 percent funds would be used by
administration of government hospitals in State, "sources added.
Sources further informed that Minister also specified
that a specific colour strip would be embossed on all the medicines supplied to
the government health institutions to differentiate the same from the similar
medicines available in the market and to check their pilferage.
He stressed the need for ensuring complete
transparency, accountability at all levels and directed all concerned to focus
on the welfare of the patients by creating neat and clean environment in the
hospitals.
