When, the issue taken with on duty CMO Dr Sanjeev Parhiar, who was also not in uniform, he was so infuriated that he threatened this reporter of dire consequences.
He asked the journo, “Aap vohi ho na jisne us din call ki thi aur story publish ki” (you are the same person who called me on February 6 and published the story) and lost his temper as saying ‘media person ho to kuch bhi karoge’ who sends you here”.
Later, Medical Superintendent of GMC, Dr. Robinder Rattan Pal heard complete recording of the incident, he assured the action would be taken against the doctor.
Asked why the doctors don’t wear an apron  during duty hours he replied the uniform is mandatory for all doctors, whether they are PG or intern. “If they doctors are not following the rules the action will take in this regard,” the superintendent said.

Seeking anonymity, a senior doctor at GMC said are they doctors or models? Who perform their duty donning colourful clothes. “During duty hours, some doctors remain busy with their mobile gadgets. It seems the Principal of GMC hospital is promoting this culture and has failed to take action against them who are violating the rules of GMC hospital.
