Forgotten game of football in J&K: sports authorities have totally ignored the game

JAMMU, July 09: The Football game lost their identity in the Jammu and Kashmir State. Last some years the football tournament has not organised in the State as well as nationa level.


Interestingly, Jammu Kashmir football Association (JKFA) has not effort to promote this game in the state. JKFA was made some teams of football but the association has failed.
Due to this, who participates (players) have interest in the game they losing their interest day by day. Those players are facing a lot of suffer.


Official source said that the currently the JKFA have no one team has not ready of football games at present. Last eight years JKFA has been trying to make some football teams in the state and participate in the events but at present the teams are not ready. Because no coordination between JKFA officials. The players are losing their interest in this game.


He further said that women football team has completely lost their identity in last many years. Presently, no women team who taking coaching from the JKAS. Since there is no proper coaching due to the women have no interest in the football game.


Women team player Renu said that last few year the JKFA has not organised such event in the State as well as National level. She further said that some year ago the women football team championship organised in Tamilnadu after no events organsied state as well as national level by JKFA. “In that championship a girl also selected in the India football team, she was participated in various events with India football team”, he added.


After that championship there is no events orgainsed and no make teams further. Old teams have been retried at till time.


When contacted, JKFA President Thakur Zamir Ahmed said that the old teams of football games were retried. The department is trying to make new teams in the different districts in the state. “The few departments teams have ready but few are reaming, the reaming teams also ready in short time”, he added.

Doctors' "negligence" claims 2 lives
