Federation blacklisted officials for indulging in corruption

JAMMU, July 5: The Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) has blacklisted Ajaz Rasool Mir of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA). He was actively involved in misusing the name of the federation and other illegal activities. The federation has claimed the Ajaz Rasool Mir was taking money from athletes under different heads and taking them out of state as well as aboard for participation in national or international events without permission of TFI.


It is pertinent to mentioned here that presently, Ajaz Rasool Mir secretary of district Srinagar Assocation (DSA) and physical teacher in the Presentation Convent School (PCS) Srinagar. He is coaching in there but who candidates get coaching form him that is not valid, clear by TFI.


Source said that the federation has received reports that Ajaz Rasool Mir of JKTA is involved in the illegal activities. He misusing the name of the federation and is taking money from other organisations and students. After taking from them, he was sent the student other states for national and international championships with the help of concerned authority.


“5 year ago a team was went to Goa for participated in event and all team reached at Goa but one participant namely Sarhan Buch was not reached at there, when asking to Ajaz, he said that Sarhan coming by plan but sarhan was not reached and hampionship was held”, he added.


He further said that after some months of championship the Sarhan get certificate of that championship which was he was not participated. Ajazwas provided certificate to Sarhan in illegal way with nexus of authority. “One month ago, Sarhan applied for sports Quota and TFI catch him. TFI also registered a case in the Crime Branch Srinagar for investigation the entire matter and will take illegal step, who involved in the case.


Federation said Ajaz Rasool Mir had tarnished its image by disrupting the taekwondo activities in Srinagar. The JKTA had removed him from the post of president on account of his illegal activities where he was also involved in promoting other martial arts as well. His activities were against the Rules and Regulations of TFI.


Federation further said that any activity conducted by Mr. Ajaz Rasool Mir relating to taekwondo under the banner of TFI or J&K STA will be illegal and the person so cheated can file criminal complaint against him with police or in a court of law.
