JAMMU, Mar 14: The state government has specified certain norms for school buses to follow in order. However, bus operators are unhappy with the guidelines and complexly ignored this order given by state government. The bus operators are extra Chagares to the students. Parents’ also written complaint to the school as well as concerned authority but no one is taking any action. According to Transport Authority notice (SRO-309) published in local dailies the buses follow the order, if student resident within 1 kilometer the monthly charges is around Rupees 18, in 2 km it is Rupees 35, in 3km 53, 4km 70 and within 8 km 140 charged. But the private schools violating the above order and making extra money by charging them above the prescribed rate list. Parents of a student Mukesh Dutt resident of Gandhi Nagra, said that they are satisfied with the bus transport services provided by schools, private operators. He said the private busses operator taking monthly charges rupees 600, which more than to the transport rate list. He further said that he many time complaint to the school authority, to check the issued rate list by authority and said to busses operators follow this order but school authority is not taking any action in this regard. He also said that he written complaint to the transport concerned authority, the busses operator extra charges. The authority is also not taking any step till date. “Despite the RTO rules for school buses, nobody cares to follow or implement them. The busses and school authority are continuing violate of the state government order. Parents are continuing hold meeting with the school authority. And also many time shows the order copy (rate list) but they are not listen to our voice”, RD Sharma parent’. Transport Commissioner S M Fazlullah could not be contacted even after repeating attempts. |
Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 6: The State Health Ministry' claims regarding increase in PG seats in broad specialties have fallen flat as Medical Council of India has granted only 13 more PG seats to the Government Medical College Jammu, while GMC Srinagar has got 30, thanks for not conducting Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of faculty members. It is penitent to mentioned, Minister for Health Bali Bhagat assured Upper House that the Principal Secretary H&ME Department handed over the proposal for increase of 133 PG seats in GMC, Srinagar and 107 PG seats in GMC, Jammu, as one time increase in Medical Colleges of State for the year 2018-19. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through its communication dated March 6, 2018, has conveyed its approval for admitting 15 students in GMC Jammu and 29 for Srinagar for 2018-19.
