Jammu, June 1: City police today arrested a lab assistant at government school allegedly involved in cheating and vehicle lifting cases and claims to have recovered five stolen motorbikes. Addressing a press conference here today, SP (City North) J.S. Johar said that police had arrested a lab assistant identified as Anuj Tirkha son of Parbhat Kumar of Bantlab, after a cheating case against him was registered under FIR number 66 of 2011 under section 420, 467, 468, 473 of RPC. Johar said he is the lab assistant at Ranbir Girls Higher Secondary School Jammu and was placed under suspension. He was put to sustained interrogation during which, he confessed and disclosed that he has cheated Nisha Devi wife of Brij Mohan of Ranbireshwar Temple in Shallamar Road by given her a fake appointment order of 4th class job in Education Department in Government Girls Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi. For this purpose, the SP said, he took Rs. 70,000 from her. The police, he said, also made recovery of three stamps i.e. 1 of principal Girls Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi, 1 of J&KS BOSE and 1 plain, on his discloser. Giving further details, the SP added that he was again interrogation during which, he made another revelation that he has stolen atleast five motorbikes from different city areas. “Two motorbikes from Jullaka Mohalla, one from Gulab Bhawan Shalamar Road, one from Partap Garh Mohalla, and another from Jammu University,” the officer said. Later, Johar said that investigation in the matter is on and more recoveries are likely. It may be mentioned here that SSP Jammu had constituted a police team led by SDPO City S.S. Sambyal, and SHO City under the supervision of SP City North J.S. Johar. |

It is penitent to mentioned, Minister for Health Bali Bhagat assured Upper House that the Principal Secretary H&ME Department handed over the proposal for increase of 133 PG seats in GMC, Srinagar and 107 PG seats in GMC, Jammu, as one time increase in Medical Colleges of State for the year 2018-19. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through its communication dated March 6, 2018, has conveyed its approval for admitting 15 students in GMC Jammu and 29 for Srinagar for 2018-19.
