Chopra murder case Ex-MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir arrested by police

JAMMU, June 9: In a major step to solve the brutal murder mystery of Chopra family, Special Investigation Team (SIT) today arrested Ex-MLC Trilochan Singh Wazir following the statement of Surinder Singh alias Kala, a transporter before the Judicial Magistrate.

Singh has been arrested by the police under section 164-A of CrPC and has been placed under arrest.
In his statement, Kala disclosed that in the month of August 2006 Ex-MLC Wazir asked him to meet him at his residence at Gandhi Nagar.

Surinder Singh disclosed that on next date he went to the house of Tirlochan Singh Wazir at that time four other persons identified as Ajab Singh brother of Tirlochan Singh, Choudhary Nagar Singh, Sanjay Sharma and Raju Simblia were also present there.

Kala said that these people were discussing about the loading of unloading of cement and Ajab Singh said that RB Chopra creates problems for them for loading and unloading of cements.
“Upon this Trilochan Singh alias Talo asked Nagar Singh said that even the Chopra creates problem in FCI work, which had led to big loss to them.
As per the disclosure Singh and other persons present had asked Sanjay Sharma to kill the Chopra and his whole family and asked money is no matter.

Ajab Singh and Nagar Singh told that they will spend any amount but their names should not disclose anywhere. According to Surinder Singh alias Kala he left the house of Trilochan Singh Wazir as there was serious conspiracy was being hatched and after some days he (Kala) came to know that RB Chopra, his wife, his daughter and two servants killed.

It is pertinent to mention here that cement tycoon Rajinder Bhushan Chopra alias Raju Chopra, his wife Madhu, daughter Saloni, their driver Jagan Nath and servant Sonu on the intervening night of September 17-18, 2006 at residence of the Chopra family in sector 3 of Trikuta Nagar.

Jammu Police has so far arrested nine accused namely Mahesh, Rushi, Vicky, Nanju, Bhawani Singh, Sikander, Narinder, Dalip and Sangram Singh. All are residents of District Guna, MP.

According to the sources, the original narco analysis report of the main accused was retrieved recently by a Jammu police team, which had gone to Gujarat for a fresh narco test of the contract killer Sangram Singh, who was arrested from Madhya Pradesh a few months ago.In the retrieved report, the businessman has admitted that he had planted Jagan as domestic driver of Raju Chopra and hired Bhawani Singh who took help of Sangram Singh in eliminating Raju Chopra.

Doctors' "negligence" claims 2 lives
