First marks tempering, then cheating and now fake admissions: Welcome to JU

JAMMU, Jan 20: While marks tempering and cheating cases are routine in Jammu University, now the fake students have begun to get enrolled in the degree colleges affiliated with it.

About 12 students were found enrolled in the colleges who have got themselves admitted on fake degrees at 12th standard level, but the question is how they managed to take admission when the JU has a fool proof system to check the documents of the admission seekers at the time of entry.

Source disclosed that cheating case in the University is normal things and cheating continue to going on in the examinations but now the students also taken admission on fake degrees in different colleges, under Jammu University. They students also completed half semester in the colleges.

“Its strange that after six months University has ordered that colleges should action against the fake admission seekers. How come now have they ordered the probe. Were they sleeping in the past”, said a source.

He further added that when these students had got the admission then concerned authorities should have checked documents of these students and getting the admission now these student half semester ahs completed but the JU the 12 student reading in JU last six months.

It is pertinent to mention here that the University of Jammu cancelled the admission of about 12 students and issued notification to all its affiliated colleges to thoroughly investigate the documents of Part I students of Graduation and cancel the admission of those who had taken it on the basis of Senior Secondary passed certificate from Delhi Board. The University authorities then issued notification to all its affiliated colleges to immediately cancel the admission of those students who had taken admission on the certificates of Delhi Board.

When contacted Controller of Examination, Prof G M Bhatt who had issued the notification to 78 colleges under the University of Jammu said that verification of document will be again done by respective colleges.

He further added that most of student taken admission on fake document. He said non existing secondary level Boards. We are waiting for the report from other colleges about such admissions.
