Docs accuse authorities of inadequate supply of H1N1 vaccine

10/30/2017  Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 30: The deadly disease H1N1 influenza, known as Swine Flu, claimed three lives and 10 have been tested positive in Jammu when last reports came in. The doctors and other staff of the health institutes across Jammu division have resentment for not providing H1N1 vaccination timely and accused concern authorities for delaying day by day. Here is need to mention that only 10 persons have been tested positive for Swine flu and three died so far. While in Srinagar, four deaths have been reported at SKIMS Soura due to the H1N1 influenza within week. Doctors at GMC&H and SMGS Hospital Jammu alleged that the authorities were putting them under risk as there is not adequate supplying of Temiflu injections and other protection gear to deal with the patient-who is affected with virus. Suspension of absentee docs proves to be eyewash

Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 25: The suspension of doctors who were founded absent from duty at Urban Health Centers (UHCs) during a visit of the Health Minister seems merely an eyewash as they were reinstated without an inquiry against them. On September 26, the Health Minister visited various UHCs across Jammu city. Three UHCs-Shastri Nagar, Talab Khatikan and Talab Tillo-were found closed while 16 doctors were found absent from duty. The minister immediately issued suspension order of 16 absentee doctors and Chief Medical Officer Jammu. A committee was constituted to inquire into the matter so that suitable action should be taken. But if sources are to be believed, some of the 16 absentee doctors are influential. That's why the Directorate of Health Service Jammu had to issue reinstatement order of the 16 doctors without conducting an inquiry against them.
