Despite faculty, infrastructure, admin yet to apply for PG courses at IGGDC

4/23/2017  Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 23: Health Ministry's announcement to start Post Graduation courses in the Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) and Hospital Jammu has proved empty recurring as administration is yet to apply for PG courses despite having eligible faculty and requisite infrastructure. Sources within the Health Department told that since establishment of IGGDC Jammu, PG course has not been started due to lethargic approach of the administration and officers of Sate Health and Medical Education Department whereas Dental College Srinagar has been running PG course for last many years. Patient's death due to doc's negligence 4/20/2017 Nitesh Sangral Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 20: How deep rooted the nexus between some doctors and administration of Government Medical College Jammu is can be gauged from this: the enquiry report into a patient's death, allegedly due to a doctor's negligence, is yet to be submitted even after two months. The 'blue eyed' doctor, who was appointed over a non-existent post as Liaison Officer, had operated upon a patient without supervision of any senior faculty member, which is mandatory as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Influential politician encroaches forest land after mutating records

4/6/2017 Early Times Report  Jammu, Apr 6: Throwing the standing orders of the Government to winds, ten kanals and two marlas Forest land has been encroached after mutating the land records by government officials in favour of politician at village Bhata Dhoorian, Tehsil Mendhar for last many years. Surprisingly, no official has dared to reclaim the forest land which is under illegal possession of a Politician. Pertinently, the Article 48 of constitution of India says "The State shall Endeavour to protect and improve the Environment and safeguard Forests".
