Water crisis at IGGDC: patients, docs bring water own

Jammu, May 16: Patients, their attendants and doctors are suffering due to ongoing water crisis in the newly constructed building Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu. Moreover patients and doctors are being forced to bring watertheir own to use and drink but the concern authority has turned blind eyes toward the issue. 

Officials within IGGDC Jammu told that the water crisis is going on in the newly building as well as old for last some days and patients' care is also hit due to unavailability of water. Normal procedures are being delayed due to water crisis as well as attendants are being asked to bring water with them.
No Choice
We are compelled to buy mineral water from outside due to non-availability of water in hospital.
Even doctors on duty are facing the same situation. "I bring water bottles from my house but it becomes empty in two hours," said a senior doctor, who did not wish to be named, adding water crisis has hit the hospital and only emergency cases are being performed. The matter has been taken with the concern authority but nothing has been done to solve the issue. Patients have been hit hard by the crisis due to lack of water for drinking as well as cleansing the equipments, infected floors and others.
"We are compelled to buy mineral water from outside due to non-availability of water in hospital," said a patient who visited hospital for treatment and some of would have to bring their own water container when they needed a tooth extraction.

When contacted MS of the hospital could not be contacted for taking comment on the issue.
