Sensational Samba murder case solved

JAMMU, May 25: With the arrest of three accused persons, Samba police Wednesday claimed to have worked out sensational murder of an ex-Panch who was killed yesterday in Ramgarh.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rajesh Kumar Choudhary alias Bindu son of Devi Ditta of Sangalpur Nangal Kotli Mandi, in Gurdaspur (Punjab), at present Kamore area of Ramgarh tehsil, Surinder Lal alias Shindi son of late Babu Ram of House Number 37 in Vijaypur and Deepak Gupta alias Deepu son of Mahesh Chander of Ward number 11, house number 31 in Vijaypur.
Giving details, SP (Samba) Israr Khan said that ex-Panch Jaswant Singh alias Jassa son of Bhag Singh of Chak Salarian was murdered last night allegedly by three accused led by Rajesh, following an old rivalry.
Working on the statements given to police by the injured persons, police immediately swung into action and launched a massive manhunt to apprehend the absconding accused persons.
“The teams, acting on the leads, sealed all the exit points towards Jammu, Mansar and Samba,” the SP claimed adding that Shindi and Deepu were apprehended early in the morning at Kotli Morh Naka, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Bari-Brahmna, while they were heading towards R.S.Pura.
He said that their accomplice Bindu – the main accused - was arrested from the field close to the village Kamore around 4 AM, on the discloser made by the two arrested persons.
It may be mentioned here that Bindu hailing from Punjab has been convicted for murder and was on parole and hiding at Kamore, Ramgarh alongwith his family to escape the wrath of his victim’s relatives.
During their interrogation, the accused Sukhwinder, Rajesh alias Bindu - the main accused - and Deepak alias Deepu were taking liquor in the tea stall of Sukha in Ramgarh last night around 8 pm during which they exchanged heated arguments with the deceased.
In the fit of anger, the SSP said, Choudhary alias Bindu went out from the shop and returned with his accomplice Surinder Lal alias Shindi. Sensing trouble, the police official said, Sukhwinder Singh also called his friends including ex-Panch Jaswant Singh alias Jassa and his son Jankar Singh for his support.
Both the groups assembled at the Tea Stall and exchanged blows with each other to take the revenge of old rivalry, after verbal dual.
